Specifications
After the water sample to be tested is oxidized and digested by potassium sulfate, the phosphorus compounds in it are converted into orthophosphate. In the presence of acidic medium and antimony salt, orthophosphate reacts with ammonium molybdate to generate phosphomolybdic heteropoly acid, which is then immediately reduced by ascorbic acid to generate a blue complex. The absorbance is detected by the principle of photoelectric colorimetry, and the concentration of total phosphorus in the water sample is calculated.
